¡Vuela, murciélago, vuela!

En un refugio para animales de Texas vive un enorme murciélago llamado Statler. 🦇

A sus 33 años, Statler es un verdadero anciano 👨🏼‍🦳. Además, le falta un ojo y tiene otras lesiones en el cuerpo. Así que ya no puede volar con normalidad. 

Pero sus cuidadores han tenido una idea para animarlo. Todos los días, le ayudan a “volar” por el interior de la casa. Es un vuelo simulado: un cuidador sostiene al animal en todo momento.


Con mucha gracia, Statler mueve sus alas mientras avanza por las diferentes habitaciones. “¡Estoy volando! 🤩, debe de pensar.

En la cocina siempre encuentra un regalo: un plato lleno de fruta. Es el alimento ideal para él, porque Statler es un “murciélago de la fruta”.

Por lo demás, su vida es muy cómoda en el santuario. Vive con otros 20 murciélagos que también son mayores, en un cuarto lleno de comida. Sus amigos humanos lo alimentan, lo lavan con un cepillo por la mañana, lo llevan a tomar el sol cuando hace buen tiempo… 🌞
