Both Biden’s and Trump’s tweets include commands. We have translated them differently, because in Spanish we have Formal and Informal Commands. For Biden we have used an informal command, “mantened”, because he is talking to his followers (LEARN INFORMAL COMMANDS). For Trump we have used a formal one, “paren”, because he is talking to the authorities (LEARN FORMAL COMMANDS).
In Ricky Gervais’ tweet, the verb “exija” is in Present Subjunctive. The reason is it comes after “espero que”, a phrase that always introduces a verb in Subjunctive mood. LEARN THE PRESENT SUBJUNCTIVE! (not for beginners).
