Present Perfect Subjunctive in Spanish

Welcome to our lesson about the conjugation of verbs in Present Perfect Subjunctive in Spanish («Pretérito perfecto de subjuntivo»).


The conjugation of a verb in Present Perfect Subjunctive is constructed with two words.

  • The first word is the verb “haber” conjugated in Present Subjunctive for the right person.
  • The second word is the Past Participle of the verb you want to conjugate. This word is the same for all persons. That means, the resulting model is:

yohaya... + Past Participle of the main verb


Following the model we just learned, here are some verbs conjugated in Present Perfect Subjunctive. These verbs happen to have a regular Past Participle:

yohaya jugadohaya bebidohaya sentido
hayas jugadohayas bebidohayas sentido
élhaya jugadohaya bebidohaya sentido
nosotroshayamos jugadohayamos bebidohayamos sentido
vosotroshayáis jugadohayáis bebidohayáis sentido
elloshayan jugadohayan bebido hayan sentido

And here two more verbs conjugated in Present Perfect Subjunctive, only these ones have an irregular Past Participle:

yohaya hechohaya visto
hayas hechohayas visto
élhaya hechohaya visto
nosotroshayamos hechohayamos visto
vosotroshayáis hechohayáis visto
elloshayan hechohayan visto
